    On World Sight Day (10/08/15), 39DollarGlasses had the pleasure of volunteering with ChildSight® in Newark, New Jersey to assist with vision screenings for students in need. ChildSight®, a product of Helen Keller International, is a program that provides underserved children in the United States with free vision screenings and prescription eyeglasses. Without clear vision, children are at a disadvantage both academically and socially.   • 39DollarGlasses and Helen Keller International Give Sight to Schoolchildren

    39DollarGlasses is proud to announce their collaboration with Helen Keller International in an effort to bring sight to schoolchildren. The ChildSight® program, a brilliant program created by Helen Keller International, helps to recognize vision problems in U.S. schoolchildren ranging from fifth through ninth grade. After the ChildSight® program identifies students with vision problems, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, 39DollarGlasses donates corrective prescription eyeglasses to students in need. Currently, 39DollarGlasses is working with the ChildSight® Ohio program. To date, approximately 5,800 students with vision problems have received prescription eyeglasses.
